Making changes on Wayne’s bike

Wayne and I have been cutting up his bike, which we scored in a trade with Mark Felt. What started out as 1976 Honda CB750 will be transformed into a tight cafe style build. Wayne has taken the lead and it’s been cool that he’s letting his old man help.

Wish list for the garage

Thanks to Jason, Wayne and I got to play with his welder this past weekend. I have got to get me one of these!

On any given Sunday, part two

Ended the day by heading home to work on Wayne Cb750 frame with him and McGoo.

We welded in the main supports for the rear frame mounts and did a little sheet metal work under the seat area. Big thanks to Craze for hooking us up with the welder!

 

Wayne did great on his first day of actual fabrication. He cut and shaped the tubes for the mounts and made everything else look nice once I welded them up.

   

McGoo helped by coming up with the idea of putting sheet metal over the seat area and made the pattern. He always seems to be a big help when we’re working on these projects. To follow Wayne’s build be sure to add his blog to your list.

Next thing on the list is a lift, this building off of the ground is crazy.

It was bound to happen

Our friend Mike D called us the other day and gave Wayne the deal of the century. He hooked him up with an old 1973 cb750 powered chopper in an Amen rigid frame for free. So it is back to the grinding and welding but the boy will be doing most of the work. 

Once Courtney saw the frame he offered up a sweet tank to donate to the build. Thanks a lot!

So it is now time to move the gym outside so we can work on this little gem.

I will keep you updated with the ongoing progress.
