When it came time for wheel bearings Lisa and I headed to visit Wink. http://www.winkscustomcycles.com/ I’ve always run wheels with sealed bearings so Wink gave me a quick lesson in setting up the Timken bearings in these wheels. They are off a 85th Anniversary HD Super Glide and one other bike that year. Don’t remember what. I just know I like them.

Rebuilding the engine

Lisa took a few pictures when I was putting the cases back together for the new bike. First time messing with a KZ. It’s nice working on something so clean. All the new parts make it nice also. It’s full of all the good stuff from Wiseco, APE, Rick’s Motorsports Electronics, and others. I’m looking forward to hearing it.

After Jay at APE checked the crank out for me I needed to have it welded. It’s something that is done to KZ1000 cranks so you don’t twist them after upping the power. I wanted someone that could weld WAY nicer than I can to pull it off and weld in difficult areas. Anthony from Chassis Design Company was an easy choice and helped me out with this part of the build.

Life has been super busy around here between leather and building the bike. Not complaining at all, just wish there was more time in the day. To see my daily work be sure to follow me on Instagram

Lisa and I worked on the Kosmosaki and I’m stoked it’s finally a roller. We won’t be showing the bike as a whole from here on out. Just thanking our sponsors for their kick ass parts! Chino Air Show 2013

Every year I try and make it to the Chino Air Show. It’s run by The Planes Of Fame museum at the same airport. For as long as I can remember they have been known for their amazing collection and the fact that they fly them.  They have the only Zero in the world with its original motor. One of the Northrop flying wing prototypes. The YP59A prototype. The list goes on.  Here are a few shots from this weekend.
